DAY 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara Game Reserve

The long and adventurous drive to Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru starts early in the morning, after breakfast.  You will be driven down the escarpment via the floor of the scenic Great Rift Valley. Arrival time at Masai Mara Game Reserve is just the mid-afternoon. After checking in, lunch and brief rest, an afternoon game drive is undertaken. Then return to the camp or lodge just before dusk for lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Optional activities include bush dinner and bonfires.

DAY 2: Masai Mara Game Reserve

The next day is spent game viewing in Kenya’s finest wildlife park, the Masai Mara National Reserve. Our morning and afternoon game drives take us in search of Africa’s Big Five and the plethora of other wildlife inhabiting this vast Kenyan game reserve. On clear days, the Mara offers fantastic orange tinged sunset’s worth capturing on camera.

The ultimate action here is without doubt the annual wildebeest exodus, the Great Migration, in July and August when millions of these grass eaters move north from the Serengeti in search of lusher grass before turning south again in October.

Optional activities include, hot air balloon, bush dinner and a visit to Masai Village.

DAY 3: Masai Mara – L. Nakuru

The clients start the day with an early morning game drive from 6.30am where they might be lucky to witness hunting. At an extra cost a bush breakfast can be arranged followed by a visit to the Masai village to conclude the Masai Mara safari experience. We depart from our safari lodge/camp at 10a.m and take an en route game drive through the Masai Mara Reserve. Clients will then proceed to L Nakuru, arriving in the late afternoon clients will check in to their preferred camp/lodge before going for an evening game drive.

Day 4:  L. Nakuru

Clients’ will enjoy the beautiful scenery of the park, as you view different wild animals. An afternoon game drive after lunch encompassing the home of birds including the lesser and greater flamingos, African fish eagles, pelicans and many more not forgetting the famous black and white rhinos.

Day 5: Nakuru – Amboseli

After breakfast, you will embark on a long journey to Amboseli via Nairobi, arriving late in the evening. Later dinner and overnight at the designated camp or lodge.

Day 6: Amboseli

Spend the whole day at the park or morning and afternoon game drives. Amboseli is best known for its vast swamps that offer life to large herds of African elephants with the towering Kilimanjaro peak as a backdrop. The game drives take us in search of the diverse wildlife and birds drawn to the grasslands and seasonal flood plains of Amboseli, offering fantastic photographic opportunities. A tour to this regions is not only breath taking but also very fulfilling.

Day 7: Amboseli – Tsavo West

Leave Amboseli after breakfast proceed to the Tsavo West where you continue on game viewing drives with game drives on the way. Continue with Game en route to designated camp or lodge and thereafter an evening game drive. Later have dinner and overnight at the designated camp or lodge

Day 8: Tsavo West – Tsavo East

Early morning game drive return to your lodge for breakfast, after breakfast a final game viewing drive at the Tsavo West shall follow as you leave the park. You shall proceed to the Tsavo East where you continue on game viewing drives with game drives on the way. Continue with Game en route to designated camp or lodge.

Dinner and overnight at the designated camp or lodge.

Day 9: Tsavo East

You will enjoy a whole day in Tsavo East national park which is renowned for its large numbers of elephants and the famous man eating lions. In the afternoon you will enjoy more game drive in search of the Lion, Cheetah, Elephant, Buffalo and other members of the Big five. You will then go back to Nairobi or spend the night here.

Day 10:  Tsavo East – Mombasa

Leave Tsavo East for Mombasa. Tsavo East is infamous for the ‘’Man eaters of Tsavo’’ that terrorized railways builders in the early 1900s.

Arrive in Mombasa in time for lunch and head to your hotel in Diani.

You have the afternoon to yourself either in the swimming pool or sunbathing at the beach.

Dinner and overnight in Diani.

Day 11:  Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park

You’ll head out to the Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park for a full day of swimming, snorkeling, sailing, bird watching… and of course dolphin viewing. Sailing on a traditional dhow with its distinctive slanting triangular sails – you’ll sit close to the waterline, taking in the playful sea creatures as they swim alongside, entertaining your group. This very full nautical tour features an appropriate seafood lunch.

Kisite Mpunguti National Marine Park’s star attractions include dolphins, coral gardens, fabulous snorkeling, diving and bird watching. The stunning sandy beach is good for environmentally friendly recreational activities.

The ecosystem covers a marine area with four small islands surrounded by coral reef. Kisite Island itself is covered in low grass and herbs while the Mpunguti Islands feature dense coastal equatorial forest.

Dinner and overnight at the designated camp or lodge.

 

Day 12 Mombasa day trip

This day gives us a very wonderful chance to visit the city of Mombasa. This day tour will immerse you in the international history and flavors of this culturally rich city. With its Arabic, Portuguese and Swahili cultures, Mombasa offers busy markets, ethnic neighborhoods and a distinctive heritage to explore. Don’t forget to take in the ancient structure of Fort Jesus with its incredible history.

We will also visit the Haller Park where there is a rich wildlife concentration.
